This project started as raw and wooded land with no services or access to the building site. We worked diligently to create a thoughtful house site and landscape as the project unfolded. The result is a beautiful, exceptionally high quality, 5000 square foot home overlooking Menemsha pond and both coasts of the island, with detached bedroom suite above garage and heated gunite pool with pool house. Completed in September 2018, it is a five-bedroom home with a contemporary edge to it and includes the finest craftsmanship and materials including Lutron lighting, Will Parry custom doors, hand forged metalwork by Whit Hanschka, local custom cabinetry by Against the Grain, walnut floors, copper gutters, and two solar flowers which track the sun and produce 12kw. The screened porch is fully insulated so that it can be used 3+ seasons with inserts. Sliding barn doors on the pool house reveal an outdoor kitchen area and indoor changing room and bathroom. It was truly rewarding to see this home take shape.

This is a four bedroom, three and a half bath home in Aquinnah built for summer living and eventually year-round occupancy. Completed 2016.
This is a 5,200 square foot home with 3 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. The beauty of wood is featured throughout in the reclaimed heart pine flooring and staircase, and custom reclaimed cypress cabinetry.
The house was designed by Hingham architect, Alan Kearney, though many of the interior and exterior details were a result of a collaboration between the homeowner and builder.
This was the site of a beloved family cottage (Sears kit house) in an exceptionally beautiful location overlooking Stonewall Pond and the ocean. The family wanted to retain the ranch feel of the old house and keep the style simple and classic, but solid and able to handle heavy family traffic. The construction was straight-forward and budget friendly and the end result is beloved as much as the original.
We worked very closely with the homeowners and architects throughout the course of building this 3,300 sq. ft. modern home in Chilmark. The house includes a 400 sq. ft. screened porch with plenty of cedar trim and custom millwork throughout.
This barn style house is an oak timber frame with a stick-framed extension off the back (kitchen). It utilizes a walk-out lower level and an open floor plan to make the house feel grand despite its modest 2300 sq ft size. A variety of new and reclaimed materials were used throughout including reclaimed barn board ceilings to add warmth and age, and antique leaded glass transoms to transfer light to the interior. This is a great updated version of an historic architecture style of a timbeframe with central fireplace.
